It would be easy to look at one of Norma’s Hexagon label cartridges and conclude that its bullet is optimized for self-defense. But wait! That notched and apparently hollow point bullet is not designed to expand within soft tissue at all! It is instead designed for superb accuracy.

This 357 Magnum round’s 180 grain bullet offers terminal performance akin to a non-expanding FMJ. The deep grooves radiating from its tip act to stabilize the bullet along a flatter trajectory, and its profile is enhanced to reduce in-flight drag.

Unlike a conventional FMJ, this round’s bullet has a fully jacketed base. That prevents ignition from warping its core to create irregularities in its profile. The Hexagon bullet’s totally jacketed core also bars ignition from vaporizing lead, which in conjunction with its lead-free Sintox primer preserves far cleaner air to breathe in while you’re training or competing indoors.

Norma was founded in 1895 and is currently headquartered in Åmotfors, Sweden. This spicy meatball of a revolver round features a brass case that is fabricated according to tight tolerances, and the consistent primer and propellant you need to group shots within 1” of each other at 25 yards.
