We love every magnum. The 22 for capping critters. The 44 for plugging pigs. The 50 for making incredibly large amounts of noise. But for money, our all-time favorite magnum round is so special that they had to give it three numbers: the 357.

This 357 Magnum round’s bullet is 158 grains. That is a popular weight for hunting and self-defense bullets, but the total metal jacket projectile should not be your first choice for those applications. The TMJ bullet is functionally identical to an FMJ. It is also favored for target practice because its inability to expand makes its design more economical.

A TMJ does offer some benefits that an FMJ can’t. That’s thanks to its jacket, which fully shields its lead core against the normal heat of ignition. Unlike an FMJ, a TMJ doesn’t emit toxic lead gas while it passes through the barrel. The TMJ was specifically developed for indoor range use for that very reason.

New reloadable brass, noncorrosive Boxer primers, and low-fouling Hyperclean Technology propellant. They all come together to make Ammo Inc.’s American-made ammunition.
