A: Thanks for reaching out Mervin! There are too many variables involved with terminal ballistics for me to promise a certain outcome. Shot placement and distance from the quarry are both elemental to determining stopping power, especially with the relatively weaker 357 Mag. That said, while I would expect this round to pierce a deer's shoulder blade at close range, the bullet's ability to produce terminal expansion may be hindered or compromised in the process. Your better bet would be to aim straight for the vital area.
