Built off of Randy Brook's original X-Bullet rifle design, this 357 Mag XPB hollow point ammunition will change the face of handgun hunting forever. Featuring an all copper hollow point design, this bullet is designed to quickly expand to twice its original diameter making this a great load for hunting.

With an all-copper bullet design, there is no chance of jacket/core separation that can occur in traditional jacketed bullets with a lead core. As a result, this bullet upon impact provides maximum tissue and bone destruction to provide a quick, humane kill. The nose of this bullet upon entry into tissue immediately peels back into four sharp-edged copper petals.

This ammunition is also ideally suited for self-defense as it's as good as it gets!

Ballistics Test Summary

We wanted to know exactly what happens to a self-defense handgun bullet on impact, so following FBI protocols, we fired five rounds of Barnes 140 gr XPB VOR-TX from 10 feet, through four layers of cloth (to simulate clothing), into synthetic ballistic gelatin. The photos below show the bullets recovered from the gelatin after being fired from a Kimber K6s pistol. There’s also a high speed video that shows the bullet impacting the gelatin block.

All the data we gathered pertaining to expansion and penetration of this load can be found in the chart below, and the diagrams at the bottom of the page show how it compares to other .357 Magnum self-defense loads from our tests.

Q: Ho ill this Ammo Perform when using a Taurus 627 Tracker? Is it too hot for A Taurus?

A: Thanks for reaching out Matt! I haven't personally tested this ammo in the Taurus 627 myself, but seeing as how Barnes loaded this cartridge to SAAMI specifications for standard pressure 357 Magnum I do not see why the revolver shouldn't be able to handle it. I'd say just steer clear of 357 Mag +P and you should be safe!

Q: I need lead free 357 ammo for a lever gun. Any chance you can sell me any?
