The Power Point bullet still works great for deer hunting, but Winchester unveiled their XP bullet in 2015 to improve upon it. This 350 Legend cartridge features a 150 grain XP, which is designed to drop a deer dead in its tracks as quickly as possible.

The XP features an enormous polymer tip. Its wide base creates tremendous energy at the moment of impact, followed by rapid and wide expansion. The XP’s jacket is tapered, thickening toward the base to prevent the bullet from tearing apart during penetration. The XP’s large polymer tip does make it relatively light for its caliber, so while it’s a fine choice for whitetail -- like the 350 Legend itself -- it’s not prone to penetrate deep enough to quickly take down a larger deer species.

Winchester developed the 350 Legend themselves and introduced it in 2019. You might very well imagine that they would like their cartridge to take off, which is why they loaded this round with their usual expert care. It offers a straight and strong brass casing, a charge of clean burning propellant, and a non-corrosive Boxer primer.
