This cartridge is socketed with Barnes’ own TTSX boat tail projectile. That’s a lead-free solid copper bullet, which translates to untainted meat, legal compliance in certain jurisdictions, and near-perfect weight retention that guarantees lethally deep penetration.
The TTSX boasts exceptional accuracy, as its solid bar stock composition does not possess flaws which could have disrupted its rotational stability. The TTSX also features grooves in its shank that conserve accuracy by decreasing barrel fouling, a sharp polymer tip, and a precision heel radius. All of these features stack up to grant the 200 grain projectile a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.369 – sufficient to guarantee supersonic performance until approximately 862 yards.
Its tip doesn’t merely streamline the TTSX. Once contact with the quarry presses it into the bullet’s deep nose cavity, the tip triggers massive terminal expansion. It’s not a traditional mushroom formation, but rather four long, sharp petals that track devastating wound channels through soft tissue. Brass-cased, reloadable, made in Utah!
