This cartridge features a great piece of Nebraskan engineering: the Hornady InterLock. The hunting bullet’s ballistically efficient (G1 0.404) secant ogive profile helps to flatten trajectory and conserve more energy over longer distances. Aim to 300 yards, and the InterLock shouldn’t have to arch higher than 4.9” before impact. It reaches 300 yards with almost 2,700 ft lbs of energy – in just 0.18 seconds. (This round’s muzzle velocity was recorded with a 26” barrel.)
The InterLock doesn’t waste all that potential after impact. Its jacket is embedded into its core in two different sections, thus assuring the high weight retention requisite for effectually deep penetration. The InterLock’s jacket is both tapered and interior grooved – two signatures of a soft point that exercises reliable, wide and uniform terminal expansion. Order a box today, we say!
