The 338 Lapua Magnum is a sniper’s cartridge. Nosler will satisfy any sniper’s expectations for their 338 Lapua Mag ammunition. The contents of this box will let you ping 1,000-yard targets as easily as you would put on your slippers in the morning.

This cartridge is loaded with Nosler’s 300 grain Custom Competition bullet. The hollow point boat tail may split in half to track two wound channels following impact, but it is not designed for expansion and accordingly suboptimal for hunting.

The Custom Competition puts all of its chips on accuracy. It features an exceptionally narrow meplat, as concentric a jacket as Nosler can fabricate, a form-fitted lead alloy core for peak rotational stability, and a pronounced boat tail to promote a faster velocity and flatter trajectory throughout the 338 Lapua Mag’s effective range.

By our calculations, this round’s bullet achieves a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.774 (G7 0.389). It should remain supersonic until it has reached a staggering 1,768 yards!

Match Grade cartridges quite appropriately receive match grade Boxer primers, as well as Nosler’s own premium brass cases. You ought to be able to group your shots through the handle of a coffee mug at any practical distance!
