This cartridge features a bullet by another American manufacturer: Barnes of Utah. The TTSX is a solid copper bullet, which promotes sharper accuracy thanks to its aerodynamic polymer tip, series of pressure relieving grooves, precision heel radius, and inability to put lead fouling on the bore. Once the rotationally stable projectile reaches its advertised muzzle velocity of 3,180 fps, its 0.490 G1 ballistic coefficient will ensure 1,000+ ft lbs energy transfer at any range within 1,050 yards. After clearing a 300-yard zero, the TTSX will drop to -9.16” at 400 yards.
The monolithic TTSX is an exceptionally tough bullet, and will retain the lion’s share of its weight even if it strikes its target within relatively short range. The TTSX’s tip slides down into its deep nose cavity throughout penetration, thus forcing the outward extension of four long, sharp and furious cutting petals. And thanks to its lead-free design, the TTSX won’t scatter any toxic lead shards inside your quarry’s venison. Armed with Weatherby’s high-quality brass and primers, you can’t miss with this ammo! (Figuratively speaking, of course.)
