A: Speer used a 4" test barrel to record this round's 1,500 fps muzzle velocity. A Ruger LCR chambered for 327 Fed Mag has a 1.87" long barrel. Unfortunately, there is no formula available that would let one calculate a round's muzzle velocity through a shorter barrel. It's something you can only determine with the aid of a chronograph. While I can assure you that this round's muzzle velocity would be slower than 1,500 fps out of your LCR's barrel, I can not give you an accurate estimate. I wish I could be of greater help!

A: Thanks for reaching out, Tony! The short answer is no. While a revolver chambered for 327 Federal Magnum can also safely fire 32 S&W, 32 ACP, 32 S&W Long, and 32 H&R Magnum, a revolver chambered specifically for 32 H&R Magnum can not fire 327 Federal Magnum. The 327 creates more pressure than your 32 is able to handle. Here's the good news, though – we currently have self-defense 32 H&R Magnum ammo in stock: luckygunner.com/32-h-r-magnum-85-grain-jhp-black-hills-50-rounds. Black Hills is a great manufacturer, whose ammo is used by all branches of the the U.S. Armed Forces as well as dozens of major firearms manufacturers for testing. They only load top notch components, so their ammo should serve your carry weapon very well.

A: Hi Steve, This the un-plated brass casings. We do occasionally get these Gold Dots in that are not plated.
