A: Hi Neil! "32 S&W" and "32 S&W Short" are two different names for the same cartridge. A .32 cal S&W Safety Hammerless should fire this Remington Performance WheelGun ammo just fine!

A: Thanks for reaching out! I cannot promise exactly when we'll get a certain type of ammunition back in stock, and we don't have a system in place to alert our customers when ammo is back in stock. We do update our inventory very often, so I hope you'll check back in again soon!

A: Yes sir, those fellas knew what they were talking about. A revolver chambered for 32 H&R Magnum can also safely fire 32 S&W and 32 S&W Long cartridges.

A: Hi Mary! I always liked that revolver – very pretty in pink. I believe your .32 caliber Pink Lady is in fact chambered for 32 H&R Magnum, which means it can also fire 32 S&W Long and 32 S&W. Is this ammo suitable for self-defense? Well, plenty cowboy shootouts of yore would suggest that it is. A classic LRN bullet is soft and can deform somewhat as it enters soft tissue, enabling it to create a wider wound cavity than the bullet's original diameter. This bullet isn't all that terribly powerful, though, so you're going to want to aim well and keep firing.
If you're comfortable with a little more recoil, however, then I would recommend a 32 S&W Long SJHP round for self-defense. Its bullet is heavier AND faster and therefore strikes its target with more force – a harder punch, if you will. Furthermore, that round's bullet will expand wider, giving it a greater chance of overlapping with your attacker's vital organs. We have a good 32 S&W Long SJHP option in stock by Magtech: luckygunner.com/32-sw-long-98-grain-sjhp-magtech-50-rounds. I hope this helps!

A: Yes, they will work in the older black powder pistols. Please take care to make sure you pistol is chambered for the SW round (most common) and not the .32 Colt round. We always advise our customer to have these old black powder guns checked out by a gunsmith before firing.

A: These would be considered the 32 Short.
