Every square micrometer of the Hornady ELD Match projectile is optimized in some way to grant it accuracy that can only be described as stellar. This 308 Win round’s 168 grain bullet features Hornady’s AMP (Advanced Manufacturing Process) jacket, which has practically zero runout, and just as much variation in its wall thickness as well. Its core lead core is swaged for uniformity and balance, and its secant ogive profile produces very little drag for a flattened trajectory. This bullet further offers a boat tail design that has been optimized for its caliber, enabling it to exhibit greater velocity downrange and better resist the straying effects of crosswinds. Finally, the ELD Match’s Heat Shield tip is immune to the effects of aerodynamic heating so as to prevent its meplat from deforming and turning it aside in flight.

To complement their bullet’s superlative performance, Hornady has given this cartridge a select brass casing with a highly consistent wall concentricity and thickness. Its propellant has been carefully matched to best suit the pressure of its caliber, and its primer is non-corrosive to protect your tack driving rifle from distress.
