The Scirocco Bonded is a dedicated hunting bullet. Even so, it dishes out accuracy that wouldn’t look out of place in a match competition. This round’s 165 grain projectile features a drag-reducing polymer tip, boat tail and secant ogive jacket profile. Its long driving band keeps it rotationally stable, and its thick base prevents deformation to its ballistically efficient form.
Remington places this round’s G1 ballistic coefficient at 0.475. With digits like those, the Scirocco Bonded is due to reach 200 yards without having to rise higher than 2.8” above the bore line. It also packs quite a wallop: over 1,500 ft lbs of striking energy until ~375 yards, or 1,000 ft lbs until ~620.
The Scirocco Bonded features a solid lead core and thick, pure copper jacket. These components are fused together to ensure at least 75% weight retention at any given range. Once the bullet’s tip rams inward, its tapered jacket promotes swift yet controlled expansion.
These cartridges are manufactured in Arkansas with premium reloadable brass cases, as well as Boxer primers and propellant charges that live up to your expectations for match accurate hunting ammo.
