A: Hi Dillon! This ammo is specifically designed for self-defense. That said, its bonded bullet should retain the virtual entirety of its weight throughout penetration of a buck's hide and soft tissue. As a soft point it will expand to significantly wider than its original diameter thoughout terminal penetration. And as a 150 grain 308 Win bullet with a G1 ballistic coefficient of .414, I estimate it will retain at least 1,000 ft lbs of energy up until 553 yards. It's also quite a high quality cartridge on top of all that.
The performance that suits this ammo so well for personal protection would also make it a fine choice for deer hunting, in my humble opinion. I believe you'll be in good shape with it!
