This 308 Win hunting cartridge features a monolithic copper bullet. It’s lead-free, quite naturally, so it’s a whole heckuva lot friendlier to the environment. (You don’t have to drive an electric car and live off kale and quinoa just to do a solid for Mother Earth.) An all-copper bullet is also highly accurate without some flaw in its core or jacket to throw it off balance. (It doesn’t even have a jacket, after all.) This round’s bullet achieves a ballistic coefficient of 0.278 to stay supersonic until nearly 700 yards!
This bullet also penetrates very deeply, because rugged copper retains almost all of its weight as it resists shattering apart throughout high velocity penetration. Better yet, as a hollow point it’ll expand fast and wide to do your quarry the favor of a fast and relatively painless death. (Do note that the bullet ceases to reliably expand past 345 yards.)
Such a fine bullet deserves Federal’s high quality brass case and clean igniting primer and propellant. The Minnesotan institution loads according to strict specs and tight tolerances to make certain you’ll be the deadliest predator wherever you go.
