Igman was established in Yugoslavia in 1950, making them one of the few ammo manufacturers which has outlasted their country of origin. Today they are located in Bosnia and Herzegovina (which is one country, despite what its name sounds like), where they load ammo for the Ministry of Defense as well as for export abroad.

This is fairly “vanilla” 308 Win ammo. It’s loaded with 147 grain projectiles, and its 2,735 fps muzzle velocity gives it ballistic performance fairly comparable to that of the 7.62x51 M80 round. Heaven help any varmint you hit with this cartridge’s full metal jacket projectile, although it is a bad choice for taking larger game owing to the FMJ’s inability to expand as it penetrates soft tissue. Keep this ammo on the range – where its nonmagnetic FMJ bullets will be most welcome!

This is new production ammo, with the non-corrosive Boxer primers you need when you don’t want to fret over rust. Igman’s brass cases are brand new, although they’re not as shiny as you might be accustomed to. That is only because the military-grade brass was heat-treated without getting polished up afterward. The discoloration is purely cosmetic and will not impact performance.
