Almost identical performance to a 300 Win Mag – but in a smaller package that permits the use of less propellant and a short action. That’s the 300 WSM in a nutshell! But you don’t need a lecture about the virtues of the 300 WSM. You just need good hunting ammo – which is great, because we have some in our warehouse for you right now.
The 300 WSM’s 150 grain projectile isn’t “weak” by any measure, although it does fall on the lighter end of the cartridge’s bullet weight spectrum. This round’s 0.294 G1 BC is low compared to the heavier loads, although its -6.1” drop at 300 yards following a 200-yard zero indicates the flat trajectory you need in order to do great things come hunting season.
The Core-Lokt pointed soft point bullet’s jacket isn’t merely tapered to facilitate wider expansion at slower velocities. Because the jacket is also physically embedded into its one-piece lead core, it grants the bullet the durability it needs to stab a deep wound column into its target. Loaded in Arkansas with new, reloadable brass!
