Do you consider your 300 AAC Blackout rifle a range toy and nothing more? Then you’ll do just fine if you only ever order conventional FMJ ammo for it. But if you would ever pick up that rifle in self-defense, then you’ll be mighty glad to have this ammo waiting in its magazine.

This cartridge features the Dual Performance projectile. It is made out of precision machined solid copper, so it can’t foul a barrel or suppressor with lead residue and it’s legal for hunting wherever toxic bullets are banned. The Dual Performance begins to expand immediately following impact. As it widens out, multiple petals break away to track debilitating wound channels through the target. The body continues to penetrate even deeper for fast and effective neutralization of the threat.

This Dual Performance is extra long to achieve its heavy 198 grain weight, which also leaves less room for propellant in its brass case. That is why this round’s muzzle velocity is a mere 1,050 fps – perfect for suppressor use, as it won’t create a supersonic crack when fired. (Unsuppressed rifles will generate less noise as well.)

Black Hills loads premium components in the great state of South Dakota. Their attention to detail and quality has earned the business of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces as well as over two dozen firearm manufacturers.
