Although it is branded by Colt, this 300 AAC Blackout self-defense ammunition actually represents the best work of two other experts: Sierra, who makes the Tipped MatchKing bullet, and Doubletap who loaded it.

Like the original MatchKing, the Tipped MatchKing (TMK) is engineered with great accuracy specifically in mind. Its jacket is drawn to a concentricity standard that varies by no more than +/- 0.0003 inches, so it is extremely balanced. Its weight varies by no more than +/- 0.3 grains. Its boat tail, precision ogive geometry, and sharp acetyl resin tip all serve to reduce drag that could rob the TMK of velocity at any point throughout its trajectory.

The TMK is not designed to expand within soft tissue. However, any .30 caliber bullet that can so accurately deliver over 1,500 ft lbs of energy at close range (five times the minimum recommended for self-defense) is going to prove pretty much indomitable for home defense.

Doubletap has loaded ths 300 Blackout ammo to function just as well with a suppressor as it would without one, although its muzzle velocity is supersonic. This is brass-cased ammo, non-corrosive, non-magnetic, fully reloadable, and highly reliable for the kind of shooting that matters most.
