The 300 AAC Blackout received it's standardization by SAAMI in 2011 and since then has become a very popular option for the AR platform. By utilizing a necked down 5.56x45mm casing, the 300 Blackout can use the same magazines, lower receivers, and even bolt carrier groups as the 223/556 rifles, while delivering the ballistics of a 30 caliber projectile.
Fred Barnes started selling bullets all the way back in 1932. Since that time Barnes' projectiles have earned a reputation for being very consistent and offering great results for target shooting as well as hunting applications. As of 2011, Barnes was purchased by Freedom Inc. the same group that manages Remington, and the VOR-TX line of ammo was born.
These VOR-TX rounds feature factory fresh brass cases that come boxer primed and are reloadable. Each projectile weighs in at 110 grains and features a polymer tip. These bullets are made of an all copper construction and exhibit double diameter expansion at a controlled rate. You can expect to see muzzle velocities around 2,350 feet per second. Pick up this 200 round case today, and get out to the range soon!
