Hornady has officially joined the 30 Super Carry party! The old Nebraskan ammo authority offers their Critical Defense line of cartridges so you can truly count on your 30 SC pistol should the need ever arise.

This cartridge’s 100 grain bullet is no ordinary jacketed hollow point. It is the Flex Tip eXpanding, a JHP with a polymer plug in its nose cavity. It keeps the nose cavity free of debris that could have compromised its ability to produce terminal expansion, thus markedly improving its efficacy against a threat that is shielded by multiple layers of thick clothing and other barriers. The FTX’s jacket additionally shields its rim to ensure smoother feeding and promote more consistent terminal ballistics.

A Critical Defense cartridge’s performance-enhancing features aren’t limited to its bullet. This ammunition is loaded with low-flash propellant. Its resultantly dim muzzle flash means that you will be able to conserve your night vision – an invaluable advantage should you ever have to fire in a dark environment. This ammunition also features nickel-plated brass cases, which hold their own against humidity and reduce friction to help a semi-auto cycle without fail.
