This ammunition from Hornady delivers cost-effective range shooting with your M1 Carbine or other .30 Carbine firearm. It fires an economical, accurate, and reliable full metal jacket bullet at a muzzle velocity of 2,000 feet per second and produces solid midrange accuracy. Each box contains 25 cartridges.

Hornady ammunition is loaded in Grand Island, Nebraska and uses non-corrosive Boxer primers and brass cases. While the Hornady brand is typically associated with premium hunting and self-defense ammo, they also make high quality range loads like this one that balance cost and performance for the discerning shooter.

The .30 Carbine round was originally developed for the M1 in order to provide non-infantry units with a compact long gun for self-defense. However, the rifle was also used by infantry officers and paratroopers who preferred a lighter weapon than the Garand or the Thompson. In terms of ballistics, the .30 Carbine is roughly comparable to a magnum pistol but typically produces much less felt recoil because it is usually fired from a long gun.
