Lead-free ain’t enough to take your deer, of course. Fortunately, the Trophy Copper bullet is a lot more than nontoxic. Copper is an outstandingly tough metal, and therefore has the wherewithal for effectively deep penetration. The bullet inflicts damage via its lever-safe round nose, which transfers ample energy on contact, as well as its polymer tip which spreads apart the underlying nose cavity throughout penetration.
The Trophy Copper is also accurate. Its grooved shank reduces the fouling created by an already low-fouling bullet. Its boat tail and precisely shaped tip bump the bullet’s G1 BC up to 0.222: -7.9” drop at 200 yards (100 yard zero).
This ammo is loaded in Minnesota with nickel-plated brass cases. They’re reloadable, easier to clean, resistant to tarnishing, and smooth enoguh to to facilitate more reliable operation in a rifle.
