HSM created the long-distance hunter’s best friend when they loaded this 30-06 Trophy Gold round. It’s truly a force to be reckoned with thanks to Berger’s VLD Hunting bullet!

This round’s 210 grain bullet doesn’t miss a thing when it comes to accuracy-enhancing features. Berger’s J4 Precision Bullet jacket is extremely thin and drawn to a concentricity standard of +/- 0.0003”, and their core is carefully formed to promote consistent weight and uniform density. The VLD Hunting bullet maintains a flat trajectory as its narrow meplat, aggressive secant ogive profile, and tapering boat tail all serve to reduce drag and prevent wind deflection.

Unlike a standard boat tail hollow point, the VLD Hunting produces crippling hydrostatic shock in its target while simultaneously registering a large-diameter wound channel. The bullet’s terminal expansion is even more potent because it doesn’t commence until after having penetrated 2” to 3” within game.

HSM has been at it since 1968, but they’re still owned by the Campbell family and headquartered in beautiful Stevensville, Montana. They load virgin brass, sensitive primers, and consistent propellant charges to ensure each VLD Hunting offers the match accuracy Berger intended it to.
