Lead is an amazing metal: super dense yet relatively inexpensive, and therefore perfect for making boolits.

Well … almost perfect. You probably don’t need a long lecture about lead’s toxicity from us. You just want to know how you can get your hands on lead-free 30-06 Springfield hunting ammunition. And here it is!

Federal Premium’s Trophy Copper bullet has exactly zero lead inside of it. The monolithic projectile’s rugged composition allows it to retain as much as 99% of its weight after impact, and its tip and nose cavity team up to deliver massive expansion. The Trophy Copper is accurate to a T thanks to its sharp nose, boat tail, and grooved shank (which minimizes fouling of the barrel). The Trophy Copper additionally lacks any jacket concentricity flaws or inconsistencies in its core. The CNC machined bullet hasn’t got a jacket or a core, after all!

This round’s nickel-plated brass case resists corrosion and minimizes friction during feeding and extraction. Its 0.503 G1 BC (which was recorded with a 24” barrel) promises almost 2,200 ft lbs striking energy at 200 yards. Gadzooks! If that doesn’t knock down a whitetail, then we don’t want to meet that particular whitetail!
