A: Thanks for reaching out Brian! I don't think this ammo would damage an M1 Garand. That said, I only recommend M2 ball just to be safe. I won't take any chances when it comes to our customers' Garands. I'm sorry to say we haven't got M1 Garand spec ammo in stock at the moment, but we do update our inventory constantly. I hope you'll check back in again soon!

A: Thanks for reaching out Philip! Remington offers 30-06 Core-Lokt Tipped ammo with 150, 165 and 180 grain projectiles. You can see the full catalog here:

Shot groups are too dependent on the shooter and his rifle to make any promises about this ammo's accuracy. To my knowledge, Federal only loads 30-06 ammo with 150 and 165 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip projectiles. Those product numbers are P3006P and P3006Q respectively. You can see all the 30-06 ammo we currently have in stock here:

A: Thanks for reaching out Eisen! The Core-Lokt Tipped is Remington's own state-of-the art polymer tipped hunting bullet, with a ring that embeds its core to its jacket to promote deeper penetration. The Scirocco II by Swift of Kansas has a bonded core, which the Core-Lokt Tipped lacks. It also has a more aggressively contoured jacket to control expansion over a wide range of velocities. If you would like to compare the two bullets' features for yourself, then I recommend taking a look at the manufacturers' websites!

A: Thanks for reaching out Peter! Hornady has two 30-06 150gr loads that I know of: Superformance SST (3,080 fps MV) and American Whitetail InterLock SP (2,910 fps MV). This round's 2,930 fps muzzle velocity is between those two rounds and not too far off from either, so you can expect it to perform somewhat similarly. It would be irresponsible of me to promise apples-to-apples performance without knowing what your expectations are for your ammo, but I can confidently say this ammo should pose an acceptable substitute for what you're accustomed to. Hornady makes fantastic ammo, no doubt about it, but this is also a great round which I hope will meet your standards should you order it!

A: Thanks for reaching out Anthony! This ammo should function correctly in a 30-06 BAR with the BOSS system, absolutely. Remington's 150gr Core-Lokt load is known to perform particularly well in that rifle, so I have no doubt that the 150gr Core-Lokt Tipped ammo should operate just as seamlessly. I would not go so far as to guarantee this is among the best 30-06 ever manufactured – but only because it was introduced to the market during the second half of 2021. There just isn't enough consensus yet for me to honestly give this ammo that endorsement. That said, this is indeed very high-quality match grade hunting ammo, and I'm confident recommending it to any shooter who demands great performance from their BAR.

A: Thanks for reaching out Michael! Because several jurisdictions we ship to ban the sale of ammunition to people under 21 years of age, we only ship to people who are 21 or older. This is not to say that it is illegal for you to purchase ammo where you live – we just have to be extremely cautious due to the sensitive nature of our business.
