The nation of Turkey manufactured this 30-06 Springfield ammunition for their armed forces back during the 1960s. It has been quite some time since then, yet these rounds are in remarkably good condition considering how long they’ve been in deep storage! You may find some cosmetic spotting as well as the occasional FTF, but we think you’ll enjoy taking this milsurp to the range all the same.

This round’s 150 grain full metal jacket projectile has a standard lead core, although we have not yet determined its muzzle velocity nor whether or not it can attract a magnet. Great for target shooting!

We are certain that these cartridges are non-corrosive – you’re free to clean your rifle as you normally would once the fun at the range has ended. These rounds are outfitted with Boxer primers, not Berdans, which alongside their new production brass cases suits them perfectly for handloading.

Q: Does the bullet have a steel core or magnetic in any way

Q: Would this be safe to use in an M1 garand?

A: Thanks for reaching out! I do not believe this ammo will damage an M1 Garand. That said, I make a rule of never recommending 30-06 for an M1 Garand unless it is explicitly loaded to that rifle's exact specifications. I wouldn't take chances with anyone's firearms – least of all their M1 Garand.

However, this ammo is nearly certainly loaded to M2 ball specs, as the Turkish military has historically used M1 Garand rifles. (They still use them in military ceremonies to this day.) But I still cannot guarantee it with absolute certainty.
