A: Hi Pat! The answer is yes. M1 Garand 30-06 ammo is loaded to a slightly lower chamber pressure, which is necessary to prevent damage to the antique rifle's operating rod. Chamber pressure is a bigger issue when it comes to semi-auto rifles like the M1 Garand. This isn't the case with the Rem M700, however. As a commercial bolt-action hunting rifle, it's designed to handle significantly higher chamber pressure than the M1 Garand. As such, you can use these rounds for target shooting just fine. You may just notice slightly less recoil, but no guarantee you will!

A: Hello Theron! I don't recommend an FMJ bullet for hunting medium game like deer. It can be done, but you really want an expanding bullet that will gouge a wider, deadlier wound channel into the quarry. Unless you actually have an M1 Garand and need ammo that is specifically designed for it, I'd recommend any of our available 30-06 hunting loads over FMJ ammo: https://www.luckygunner.com/rifle/30-06-ammo?ammo_use_type=1447

A: Yes sir. When it's loaded for the M1 Garand, 30-06 ammo just has a slightly lower chamber pressure. Your hunting rifle is designed to handle more powerful commercial ammo, so it should do just fine with these rounds.

A: Thanks for reaching out Jeff! That's a sensible question. You see, the M1 Garand's operating rod can get damaged by the higher chamber pressure of some modern 30-06 cartridges. When 30-06 ammo is loaded to M2 ball specifications, that just means its chamber pressure is low enough that it won't damage the antique's sensitive parts. Your modern bolt action rifle will have absolutely zero issues firing 30-06 that's loaded to the M1 Garand's preferred lower chamber pressure. It's basically like asking a guy who can bench 300 pounds to bench 280 pounds.

A: Hello Richard, the M1 Garand 30.06 ammo has a lower pressure than standard 30.06 ammo so that the gas system on the M1 Garand functions properly. Given that your Savage is bolt action it should would just fine, just with a loss of velocity due to the lower pressure. Prvi Partizan produces quality budget friendly ammo!

A: Hi Russ, yes this product would be okay for a Springfield M-1903a3. The ammo labeled M1 Garand is a lower presssure version of the 30-06.

A: The M1 Garand 30.06 ammo has a lower pressure than standard 30.06 ammo so that the gas system on the M1 Garand functions properly. I would suggest checking with the manufacturer to verify if there are any specific ammo requirements.

A: Hi Jake, The CMP folks were correct in that most 30-06 ammunition that you see today on the shelf such as Remington Core-Lokt is loaded to a higher pressure than desired for the M1 Garand. This newly manufactured 30-06 ammunition by Prvi Partizan is specifically loaded to the recommended pressures of the M1 Garand and will be perfect for you.

Yes, you can shoot these 150gr. FMJ rounds by Prvi in your rifle. They are designed to work with the M1 Garand so they are loaded to a lower chamber pressure which will result in a lower velocity, but they will function fine in your rifle.
