This cartridge isn’t loaded with any ordinary 150 grain soft point. It is a 150 grain pointed soft point – an aerodynamic little missile with a muzzle velocity of 2,910 fps. At that rate the bullet’s 0.380 G1 ballistic coefficient lets it keep at least 1,500 ft lbs of kinetic energy until almost 350 yards.
We’re not too keen on recommending a 150 grain bullet for elk. If you feel otherwise, then by all means, follow your heart. Whichever game you take aim at, you can trust Fiocchi’s PSP to avoid shedding excessive weight as it penetrates deeply, while at the same time blossoming into a wide mushroom that inflicts deadly tissue damage. The only thing this ammo needs to produce great results is your rifle and your aim.
Fiocchi made this ammo in Missouri with new brass cases (reloadable), noncorrosive Boxer primers and clean-burning propellant. Not fit for M1 Garands; all other 30-06 rifles are invited to the party.
