This is not 270 Winchester ammunition. It will not work in 270 Win firearms.

270 Winchester Short Magnum. You either have it or you don’t. If you fall into the latter category, then Lucky Gunner is going to fix you right up. We’ve got Browning BXC Controlled ammunition in our warehouse, and our drivers are out there revving up their engines – just redlining them. They’re nuts. No wonder our neighbors don’t like us.

This cartridge demonstrates the supreme efficacy of Browning’s own Terminal Tip. The 145 grain projectile is no slouch in the accuracy department, with a 0.470 G1 ballistic coefficient that enables it to reach 300 yards in one-third of a second – at which range it still strikes with over 2,000 ft lbs of kinetic energy. It’ll drop approximately -9.4” at 400 yards.

Impact is when the show really gets started. The Terminal Tip isn’t actually polymer tipped. Its orange tip is made of anodized aluminum, which toughens up the bullet so it can penetrate deeply even when bone gets in its way. The bonded bullet conserves its integrity and momentum so it can cut a deep channel into its target. Broad terminal expansion knocks even the stoutest elk flat on its kiester.

This ammo’s nickel-plated brass cases aren’t just pretty. They minimize friction to promote surer functionality in a hunting rifle, and also resist corrosion while you’re out slogging through inclement weather.
