This .270 Winchester ammunition excels against deer and other midsize game thanks to its Interlock soft point bullet. The Interlock bullet is named for a ring inside the jacket that locks to the core and prevents them from separating when the projectile strikes its target. As a soft point round, this bullet "mushrooms" or expands outward into a high-diameter shape to bring down the animal quickly.

Each cartridge in this box of 20 fires a 140 grain soft point bullet at a muzzle velocity of 2,940 feet per second. As with most .270 loads, this ammo produces nice, flat trajectories and excellent accuracy.

Hornady ammunition is made in Grand Island, Nebraska using non-corrosive Boxer primers and reloadable brass cases. One of the most respected manufacturers of bullets and other components since the 1940s, Hornady expanded into loaded ammo in the last few decades and has a strong following in the hunting and self-defense segments.
