Barnes VOR-TX Long Range ammo isn’t just compliant with lead-free bullet laws. It owes its extreme accuracy to its monolithic LRX BT projectile’s nigh perfect rotational stability, as well as the sharp meplat created by its blue polymer tip. Once it cooks out of the barrel at a rate of 3,140 fps, the 129 grain LRX BT is all set to manifest a 300-yard trajectory that doesn’t rise higher than 4.25” above the bore line – and which only drops -9.4” at the 40-yard mark. (G1 0.463; G7 0.229)
The LRX BT’s all-copper construction means it doesn’t have a core and jacket that could splinter apart from each other, and copper is an inherently ductile and resilient metal in its own right. That ensures the bullet conserves the weight it needs to plow a path straight to the quarry’s inner sanctum. Like Barnes’ TSX, the LRX BT unleashes terminal expansion in the form of four long, curling cutting petals. Massive cavitation for deadly results!
This ammo is loaded in Utah with nickel-plated brass cases. Smooth nickel eases out feeding and ejection, and it also offers protection against corrosion in the damp climate where your next trophy awaits.
