Sierra dominates the competitive target shooting world with their MatchKing. So when they took that bullet’s proven accuracy-enhancing features and used them to make the expanding BlitzKing, varmint hunters the world over took notice.

This 224 Valkyrie cartridge showcases a 69 grain BlitzKing. With its intensely concentric thin-walled jacket and drag-reducing boat tail the BlitzKing roars out of the muzzle with a G7 ballistic coefficient of 0.188. The BlitzKing’s proprietary polymer tip further enhances its profile to promote a flatter trajectory – but it’s not just there for accuracy’s sake. On impact it thrusts inward, jolting the core and thin jacket like a lightning strike to send them flying apart in little pieces in every direction. A 69 grain BlitzKing holds over one third of its energy at 500 yards, at which point it’s still capable of devastating coyote and other large predators.

Sierra applies their same love for precision that has made their bullets a household name to their loaded ammo production as well. These rounds’ primers, propellant charges, and new brass cases could all serve as good lessons on how things ought to be done.
