A: Thanks for reaching out David! There's nothing to indicate that this ammo's primers are lead-free, and I highly doubt that they are. Frangible and indoor training ammunition typically have lead-free primers, but open tip bullets are usually reserved for longer distance shooting where the shooter would be outdoors (open tip bullets contain lead themselves anyway). But I can promise you that Federal BallistiClean RHT 223 Rem has lead-free Catalyst primers: luckygunner.com/223-rem-55-grain-rht-frangible-federal-le-ballisticlean-20-rounds

A: Hello Jonathan! It's my understanding that this round is equivalent in ballistic performance to Winchester's Q3314 loading with a 62 grain OTM, and similar to their RA556B loading with a 64 grain SP. The Q3314 in particular has a match grade bullet, which is also designed to penetrate barriers more effectively.

A: Hi GRA, Thank you for looking to LuckyGunner for your ammo needs. The purple coating on these rounds was required by Federal Law Enforcment departments to be able to make sure that their agents were training with the correct round. This designation was specifically for the those entities, and means nothing else to shooters. The round can be used outside of training and is not restricted to training only. If you have any further questions or if we can help in any way please call LuckyGunner at 800-317-9506.
Thank you
Brett

A: Hi Hanson, Earlier this year we had to suspend all shipments into the to the State of California. A combination laws passed in California require a background check and privacy elements will impose impractical cost on our company and on the Federal Firearms Licensees who help us in California. The combination of these regulations, in addition to the unfriendly environment for 2nd Amendment supporting companies, means that we are simply unable find a way to serve California customers at this time and still remain in business. We are very sorry that we will no longer be able to serve our great customers in California, and we are grateful for past business and support. We'll miss our California friends, and continue to hope that we will be able to serve you again in the future.

A: Hi Bryan. No sir. These are brass cased and non-magnetic. They are fully reloadable and good for any range.

A: Hi Tommy. This purple dye will come off during a session in the wet media tumble. The good news is that it is nickle- plated brass casings perfect for reloading.
