This round’s bullet weighs 62 grains. That’s the same weight as an M855 “penetrator” projectile, which means some of our customers are bound to ask whether this ammo will attract a magnet. It will not.
What really makes this round’s bullet special is its jacket. It is bonded to its core – welded to it, to be more specific, which enables the two components to cling tightly together as they pass through a barrier or flesh. The bullet is able to penetrate deeper and more reliably as a result, which makes its terminal ballistics that much deadlier.
The pointed soft point is an effective hunting/defense bullet even when its jacket isn’t bonded. The sleek, aerodynamic PSP conserves its velocity effectively, and its exposed lead tip produces expansion: higher energy transfer, wider wound column, greater “stopping power.”
This ammo’s new brass cases are reloadable. Its primers are noncorrosive. Its shipping is fast, but only when you have the good sense to order it from Lucky Gunner.
