This is more or less the Serbian manufacturer’s equivalent of our own Army’s bread and butter M193 cartridge. At 55 grains its bullet clears a 24” barrel at 3,248 fps, after which it will present a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.254. (G7 0.126) The bullet’s boat tail helps it retain greater velocity downrange, so even at the extreme 300 yard range it’ll still be tanking along at nearly Mach 2 without having risen higher than 5”.
Don’t read the word Serbia and immediately start thinking about Eastern Europe’s characteristic steel cases and Berdan primers. Prvi Partizan only puts their “PPU” headstamp on newly drawn brass, and their Boxer primers are every bit as non-corrosive as an American manufacturer’s. Expect smooth functionality out of your rifle as you use this ammo to dump a mag or carefully pick off targets, and enjoy reloading it back at your estate.
