A: Thanks for reaching out Billy! I believe you're referring to magazines – the detachable box which holds cartridges and actually goes into the firearm – and not clips, which are something different. And the answer is yes! 223 Rem is compatible with 5.56x45 magazines as well as 5.56 firearms.

A: Thanks for reaching out Seth! You could certainly get that job done with this ammo. 223 is a little small for hog and and FMJBT doesn't expand, so my only advice would be to catch the hog with a nice clean headshot. Just below the ear hole ought to be your target, but this fella here is a much bigger authority on shot placement: youtube.com/watch/NGjSGe8-fqM

A: Thanks for reaching out Keener! This is exactly the kind of ammo you want for that rifle, absolutely.
If your rifle is chambered for 5.56x45 (which it is; and 5.56x45 NATO = 5.56x45 = 5.56) then it is also designed to safely fire 223 Rem (aka 223). A rifle that is specifically chambered for 223 Rem may not necessarily safely fire 5.56x45, however. But to be sure, the 223 Rem is perfectly fine for a M&P 15 Sport II.
