Atomic Heavyweight Hunting 223 Rem ammunition is designed for taking varmints and even medium game at close to medium range. This ammo would also prove immensely useful during a home defense situation, as it’s designed to inflict massive damage at close range.

This cartridge has an unusually heavy bullet at 112 grains, which is more than double the typical weight for a 223 bullet. On the flip side, its 2,000 fps muzzle velocity is unusually slow, so it won’t generate too much chamber pressure that could damage a semi-automatic rifle. But even at lower velocities, so heavy a bullet delivers about three times more energy to its target than the minimum that is typically recommended for self-defense.

The bullet itself is designed to quickly kill game or incapacitate a threat. As a round nose soft point it will deform within soft tissue, quickly mushrooming outward to punch a wide wound channel into its target. Massive energy delivery + wide wound channel = enormous terminal effect.

This ammo is manufactured in the great state of Arizona, and it is safe for rifles with suppressors. Atomic loads this ammo with brand new brass cases, non-corrosive primers and clean-burning propellant.
