This cartridge is loaded with a full metal jacket. The bullet lacks a polymer tip, nose cavity or soft point that would have enabled it to deliver terminal expansion. It’s just a simple and cost-effective solid point bullet that provides good accuracy and nothing else. Naturally a smaller critter is still no match for a non-expanding FMJ, but target shooting is really the bullet’s forte.
When fired from a rifle, this round’s 40 grain bullet achieves a muzzle velocity of 1,880 fps. Its 0.111 G1 ballistic coefficient means that the bullet will avoid transonic destabilization until approximately 150 yards. In other words, this round provides the accuracy you need to make use of the 22 WMR’s full effective range!
This is Minnesota-made ammunition, with the high-quality brass cases, non-corrosive primers and evenly loaded propellant that ensures smooth functionality. Good for pistols too!
