This round’s 30 grain bullet weighs 25 percent less than is usual for its caliber, so it gets a scorching fast 2,200 fps muzzle velocity. The bullet is Hornady’s V-MAX, which keeps an even flatter trajectory via its balanced swaged lead core, aerodynamic jacket profile, and sharp polymer tip. Upon impact that tip smashes into the hollow cavity it’s perched over, resulting in virtually instantaneous fragmentation and a nasty injury for a varmint. It will wish it had never mentioned you to us!
