A: Hi Joe! This round has a subsonic muzzle velocity, so it won't create a little sonic boom when it's fired. I don't think you'll be very satisfied practicing your aim with a shot cartridge, though. Aguila makes some pretty good rimfire ammo, and this round's 40 grain JSP bullet could serve for self-defense if you ever needed it to: luckygunner.com/22-wmr-40-grain-jsp-aguila-50-rounds. This round will make considerably more noise though – it tears the sound barrier in half, which isn't to say the 22 WMR has a very loud report even when it's at full power.
And forgive me if you already know this, but I just want to make sure your revolver isn't chambered for 22 LR. We get a lot of new shooters who mistake 22 WMR for 22 LR, and I don't know how familiar you are with ammo is all!

A: This ammo will work well in a revolver. You should have no issues using it out of the NAA pistol.
They do not have the recoil needed to operate a semi auto weapon. Also due to the plastic tip they will sometimes not feed correctly from a magazine.
Neither of these concerns will be present in a revolver.

A: Hi Bret. Thank you for looking to LuckyGunner.com for your ammo needs. The shot used in these shotshells is tiny. They lose velocity extremely quickly, and even in the event of a "contact" shot, they will fail to penetrate with the muzzle gasses creating more damage than the actual projectiles. They are not suited for any further use than close range pest eradication, and then only when a failure to stop is non-critical. Whether or not an assailant would stop is an unknown, but if you have a reason to shoot someone, you need to choose something that will penetrate and stop them. Give me a call and we can help pick the best round for you. Have a great day! Ross

A: Hi. These will fire safely, but essentially, you will have a single shot pistol. They will not cycle the action and it is possible that they might not feed well from the pistol's magazine.

A: Hi Rob, you have asked a great question! Yes, the 22 WMR 52 gr #12 Shotshell by CCI can be used with a .22 revolver.
