This cartridge is loaded with a standard weight 40 grain lead round nose projectile. The solid point bullet lacks a nose cavity that could have created aerodynamic friction, and its lack of copper plating ensures its weight is evenly distributed. More importantly, the LRN is only going to exit a rifle barrel at a subsonic velocity of 1,065 fps. A bullet can’t undergo transonic destabilization if it was never supersonic to begin with!
This ammo features highly consistent brass cases, complete with precision target crimps to ensure uniform bullet alignment with the rifling. Browning’s subsonic 22 LR ammo is clean-shooting and non-corrosive, and it’ll definitely put down a rodent even if the LRN isn’t capable of delivering terminal expansion.
