A: Hi Justin! As a general rule I only recommend supersonic 22 LR for reliable cycling in a semi-automatic 22 LR firearm. This ammo's 1,240 fps muzzle velocity certainly qualifies. I regret that we haven't got this ammo in stock at the moment, but I do believe the high velocity we currently have in stock would serve you even better: luckygunner.com/22-lr-38-grain-hp-eley-high-velocity-50-rounds

A: That's a great rifle which you'll find does well with a variety of manufacturers' ammo. This round's supersonic muzzle velocity should certainly provide enough oomph to reliably cycle a semi-auto, and its copper plated bullet ought to be hard enough to give an M&P's feed ramps no trouble at all!

A: Thanks for reaching out, John! You definitely want 22 LR, which this ammo is. But because your handgun has a suppressor, it would ideally fire a cartridge with a subsonic muzzle velocity. (That's under 1,125 feet per second.) A subsonic round doesn't make a sonic boom when it's fired, so its report is suppressed much more effectively. We have subsonic 22 LR by CCI for sale: luckygunner.com/22-lr-40-gr-lrn-cci-quiet-50-rounds.
You can fire supersonic ammo through your suppressor without issue, however, and it will still be quieter. And to be sure, your handgun can fire any ammo so long as it says 22 LR or 22 Long Rifle on the box.
