This round features a 40 grain copper plated round nose bullet. Its copper plating works comparably to a full metal jacket, both hardening the bullet for smoother feeding in a semi-automatic as well as preventing the lead in its core from muddying up the barrel. This bullet is not designed to expand within soft tissue. For that reason it’s not advisable for hunting larger vermin, although its energy alone ought to double over squirrels and other small pest creatures with ease.
This round’s bullet offers a 1,255 fps muzzle velocity out of a rifle (but slower out of a handgun’s shorter barrel). That greater velocity not only delivers a flatter in-flight trajectory, but should also create the chamber pressure needed to correctly cycle semi-automatic rifles and handguns as well.
These rounds have new production brass cases. Their primers are non-corrosive and engineered according to Olympian target shooter standards. No propellant burns without creating any residue, but we believe you’ll be pleased with the state of your firearm’s action and bore after running a few hundred of these rounds through it!
