Good things don’t come in threes. They come in twos – 222, to be exact, or exactly the number of 22 LR cartridges in this big, loose-packed box by Winchester. The American icon’s Super-X series ammo has been a popular go-to among varmint hunters for a whole century now, and this ammo’s going to satisfy no matter your handgun or rifle’s make and model.

This is a high-velocity round, with a 40 grain projectile that clears a long gun’s barrel at a rate of 1,280 fps. Winchester’s Power-Point copper-plated hollow point (CPHP) is engineered for maximum expansion as it burrows through small game. If you shoot a crow or squirrel with this round, you’re going to make your message to that animal clear as crystal. The CPHP’s thin copper plating helps to conserve a firearm’s accuracy by keeping some lead residue from accumulating inside its barrel.

This ammo is loaded in East Alton, Illinois with heavily standardized brass cases, touchy non-corrosive rimfire primers, and the low-fouling powder that makes cleaning time shorter and easier. There are no rules saying you can’t also enjoy firing this varmint ammo at the range!
