A: Hi Jeff! A cartridge's muzzle velocity is measured in feet per second (fps). It reflects the rate at which the bullet is traveling the instant it exits the barrel. 22 LR ammo usually receives one of four classifications depending on its muzzle velocity: subsonic (<1,125 fps), standard velocity (1,120–1,135 fps), high velocity (1,200–1,310 fps), or hyper velocity (>1,400 fps). A higher muzzle velocity usually indicates a flatter trajectory, as well as greater striking energy. A lower velocity indicates a softer report. If a bullet is subsonic, its trajectory will drop more steeply – but its trajectory will also be more predicatble, as the bullet won't wobble as a result of transitioning from super- to subsonic velocity (a phenomenon known as "transonic destabilization"). Subsonic ammo may fail to cycle a semi-automatic, but any 22 LR firearm can safely fire any 22 LR ammo so long as it's in good working condition. Please let me know if there's anything else you'd like to know!

A: Hello,
Yes, we can ship to a residence in New Jersey. We would just need a copy of your New Jersey Firearm Owners ID card in order to do so.
