A: Thanks for reaching out Matt! It may work, but I'm not certain this subsonic ammo would generate succifient pressure to reliably cycle your AR. I believe you'll be happy with the Remington 22 Golden Bullet ammo we have in stock, though – it's far better equipped to cycle a semi-auto.

A: Thanks for reaching out Chris! For a semi-auto 22 LR rifle I would always recommend ammo with (A) a supersonic muzzle velocity (i.e. faster than 1,125 fps) and (B) a copper-plated bullet (which reduces barrel fouling to preserve accuracy, as well as promote smoother feeding from the magazine). Higher quality ammo is also greatly preferrable. That's why I'd recommend the CCI Mini-Mag MeatEater 22 LR we currently have in stock for your M-15: 1,260 fps muzzle velocity, CPHP bullet, and made by an American rimfire ammo specialist. CCI makes my top favorite 22 LR ammo for my semi-auto Ruger Standard.

A: Thanks for reaching out Christian! I would recommend subsonic 22 LR for a G44. Because this round's muzzle velocity is less than 1,125 fps, it may not generate enough chamber pressure to reliably cycle your semi-automatic pistol. I believe you'll find the Remignton 22 Golden Bullet ammo we have in stock will treat your G44 better, as will the Federal Champion.

A: Yes sir! The speed of sound is 1,125 fps, and this round's muzzle velocity is only 1,085 fps.

A: I'm afraid I haven't got any personal experience with that conversion kit. But I would recommend a slightly more powerful 22 LR cartridge for your set-up, just for greater assurance that your Glock will cycle correctly. For that I'd advise Eley High Velocity, which is loaded to a significantly faster muzzle velocity: luckygunner.com/22-lr-38-grain-hp-eley-high-velocity-50-rounds

A: Fortunately we are starting to receive more 22 Long Rifle ammo from Federal with this staying in stock for longer periods of time than earlier this year.
During this shortage, we have found the ELEY brand to be a good alternative to keep us going at the range. The cost per round may be higher, though the consistency and accuracy will be more precise with ELEY's Match grade ammo. While the Federal rounds feature a copper jacket, these ELEY rounds do not. It is possible for a little more lead to show up during the cleaning of the pistol or rifle. This is not out of the ordinary, but would be a noticeable difference.

A: The WMR marking on your rifle states this is chambered for the 22 WMR round. WMR stands for Winchester Magnum Rifle. This is commonly referenced as the 22 Magnum round. Unfortunately the popular 22LR round should not be fired in this gun. While it is physically possible to do so, this will result in improper function of the 22LR ammo and will likely cause a malfunction and create an unsafe condition for you, and your rifle.
