A: Absolutely sir, this ammo's a great choice for target shooting with a lever-action. It's my personal favorite for semi-autos as well.

A: Thanks for reaching out Carol! I'm happy to say that all of CCI's 22 LR ammo should function without issue in your rifles. With semi-automatics you have to make certain the ammo will generate sufficient chamber pressure to cycle the firearm, but your manual action rifles haven't got that problem.
40 grains is the standard weight for a 22 LR bullet. When you go lighter, you get a faster muzzle velocity (speed at which the bullet exits the barrel) and resultant flatter trajectory (bullet flies straighter, which makes aiming easier). When you go heavier, you tend to get a subsonic muzzle velocity (quieter gunshot) as well as better long-distance performance.
If you want a good, versatile target round, I'd recommend the CCI Mini-Mag 40gr CPRN ammo. It's not built to deliver terminal expansion inside small game, but it's otherwise really high quality stuff: https://www.luckygunner.com/22-lr-40-gr-cprn-0030-cci-100-round
If you want 22 LR for hunting, then the Mini-Mag MeatEater 36gr CPHP ammo is excellent. That bullet is deadlier to small game, but you won't go broke firing hollow point 22 LR bullets for target practice: https://www.luckygunner.com/22-lr-36-grain-cphp-cci-mini-mag-meateater-300-rounds
If you want to see some truly flat trajectories that terminate in deadly expansion, then you'll love the "Stangers" 32gr CPHP ammo: https://www.luckygunner.com/22-lr-32-grain-cphp-cci-stangers-100-rounds
To be sure, you won't go wrong with any of CCI's ammo. Top of the line American-made stuff! And even if you go with a round nose bullet, you'll still have zero difficulty picking off squirrels and other rodents. Please let me know if you have any other questions!

A: Thanks for reaching out Mark! This ammo should function correctly in your Walther. On the plus side, CCI ammo is high-quality and reliable. Now, this round nose bullet won't expand inside soft tissue, but that may actually work in your favor for self-defense because the bullet may be able to penetrate more deeply into the threat where it could strilke a vital organ. (The 22 LR of course being a relatively weak cartridge.) If you want a bullet that can expand, then the CCI Mini-Mag MeatEater edition 22 LR ammo we currently have in stock would also be an acceptable choice for self-defense.
To be sure, there are better 22 LR cartridges for self-defense, but we haven't got them in our warehouse at the moment. Since we're talking about your personal safety here, I'd kind of rather lose the sale and recommend you look elsewhere for something that is optimized for self-defense with a 22 LR handgun. I'd recommend Winchester Silvertip (search for their product numbered W22LRST) or Federal Personal Defense Punch (PD22L1). Both of these cartridges are designed to let the 22 LR bullet do as much damage to a human-sized threat as possible, not target shooting or varmint hunting like the CCI ammo I discussed above. I just wish we had either of them in store for you!

A: Thanks for reaching out Todd! This ammo should work great in your revolver. A 2" barrel is necessarily going to give a cartridge a lower muzzle velocity than what it says on the box, but that's just the tradeoff you have to accept in exchange for a shorter barrel.

A: It will work very well. The copper layer is very thin, and the bullet diameter after the copper is applied is well within specs. CCI has some of the tightest quality control standards in the industry. This coupled with their amazing quality is what sets them at the top of the rimfire ammo game.

A: Hello,
Yes, these 40gr. CPRN rounds by CCI in .22 LR will work in your Winchester rifle as long as it is chambered in .22 LR. You shouldn't have any problems with them.

A: This .22LR ammo from CCI will work well in the Mosquito. The Mini Mag line of 22 ammo from CCI is known to be one of the highest quality rimfire cartridges on the market today. The consistent loading and reliability make it a great choice for any plinking or small game hunting application.
