This 3,000-round case of .22 Long Rifle rounds from Winchester is a wonderful way to treat a troop of groomsmen or to stock up for a few years of plinking and small game hunting. The case contains six separate 500-round boxes which are styled after classic wooden ammo boxes that were common in stores about a century ago. As such, each box is constructed from wood, bears sharply painted labels, and features a sliding top for easy access. Inside the wooden box is a modern cardboard container. These particular rimfire rounds come equipped with 36-grain projectiles crimped in front of high-velocity powder charges.

The bullets are of a copper-plated hollowpoint (CPHP) design and have round noses that house long, narrow cavities. This shape promotes seamless feeding and relatively wide expansion upon contact with a squirrel or rabbit. During entry into the target, the bullet's mushrooming will cause it to tumble, slow, and deliver its kinetic energy to an animal's vitals in order to achieve a quick and humane drop. Winchester rolls their own brass casings and utilizes their own recipe for a clean-burning, non-corrosive primer mixture. The company's products are produced in the United States and supported by over 150 years of manufacturing experience.
