This cartridge’s 36 grain bullet is 10% lighter than normal. The benefit? A faster muzzle velocity and flatter resultant trajectory, and proper good accuracy within a range of 50 yards. This round’s muzzle velocity will be lower if you’re firing a handgun instead of a rifle, but take heart: its 1,247 fps muzzle velocity does indicate that the round is powerful enough to cycle a semi-auto.

Copper plating doesn’t just enhance a bullet’s aesthetics. It reduces lead-on-bore contact to help the firearm remain more accurate in between cleanings. The CPHP is A-OK for target practice, but its ability to expand won’t hurt your cause if your mission is to hunt small critters.
